Kristin Villafuerte is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her Master’s Degree from Stony Brook University with a specialization in Integrated Health. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Public Health from SUNY Old Westbury, where she focused on population health and social determinants of health.
With a strong foundation in inpatient psychiatric care, Kristin has extensive experience supporting individuals across the lifespan in navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD, autism spectrum disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, eating disorders, and high-risk behaviors. While she works with individuals of all ages, Kristin specializes in helping adolescents and young adults navigate life
transitions, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
Kristin takes an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Informed Care, and Crisis Intervention.
She provides support to individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailoring her approach to meet their unique needs.
