Kim Svendsen, MFT-LP earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. She has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and couples/families in both educational and therapeutic settings. Prior to becoming a therapist, Kim worked as a Director of Student Life at a private school, where she supported students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. Kim’s focus is on supporting adolescents, young adults, and couples as they navigate challenges related to identity, relationships, and trauma. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Narrative Therapy to help clients gain new perspectives and build resilience. With couples, Kim integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman-informed approaches to improve communication, foster emotional closeness, and strengthen connection. Kim is dedicated to creating a warm and supportive therapeutic space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to work toward positive growth and lasting change.
