Zachary Tordik

Zachary is a board certified, Licensed Creative Art Therapist who has a master’s degree in clinical art therapy and counseling from Long Island University.

Zach has experience working with children with special needs in an inclusion program based in Roslyn and at an afterschool program in Virginia. In addition, Zach completed an internship in South Korea learning about multicultural issues while also working with elementary school kids. He further expanded his experience by working with adults with psychiatric needs during a second internship at Stony Brook Hospital. During Covid-19, he worked in a nursing home using art therapy to assist the residents find joy during that tumultuous time.

Zach primarily uses art therapy in a person-centered approach to assist in assessing and helping patients come to an understanding of some of their issues and teach coping skills to use outside of the office.
