Sara Rayman is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who received her undergraduate degree in social work from James Madison University. Sara received her Master’s degree from the University at Buffalo. While attending UB, she completed a specialized fellowship program focused on addressing societal crises with educational support. Sara is passionate about empowering her clients to discover new ways to overcome their barriers. She strives to create a safe and comfortable environment that encourages self-reflection and exploration.
Sara has three years of experience working in outpatient mental health clinics where she addressed a variety of presenting challenges including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship complexities and life transitions. Sara has experience working with children, adolescents and adults with a variety of diagnoses including obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. In her work with clients, she uses a variety of approaches including motivational interviewing, a strengths-based approach, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and positive psychology. She emphasizes the importance of a positive therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect.
