Krista Barlow

Krista is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) who received her master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz, where she also focused on Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality studies. Krista has more than 4 years of experience providing counseling for children, teens, and adults. She also has a background in providing counseling for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Krista provides counseling for those experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, and life adjustment. She utilizes a person-centered approach in order to best meet the needs of each client.

Krista’s therapeutic modalities include:

Empowerment and Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, and Mindfulness Practices.
Krista creates a comfortable therapeutic environment by providing a warm and compassionate presence with her clients. It is her passion to assist clients in developing a better understanding of oneself, building confidence, and practicing self-love.
