Jeannine Pedersen

With over 12 years of service in mental health practice my experience spans across various realms, including crisis intervention, family dynamics, school-related issues, and emotional well-being. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from a diverse range of modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy, among others. I believe interventions should align with each client’s unique strengths, preferences, and developmental stage, fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic journey. From anxiety and depression to trauma and behavioral issues, I employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual under my care.

I began my career at St Joseph’s University, where I gained a Bachelors’ Degree in Psychology. Knowing children and adolescents would be my focus, I continued my education at Long Island University to obtain a Master of Science in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling. Working in both School and Clinical settings over the years has given me vast experience in the field.

With a holistic approach to therapy emphasizing collaboration, recognizing the interconnectedness of every facet of a child or adolescent’s life my compassionate and client-centered practice strives to empower individuals to overcome obstacles and thrive in their journey toward mental wellness. I am a compassionate advocate for the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents.
