Kayleigh Cook is a Licensed Social Worker who received her Master’s Degree from Stony Brook University in New York with a specialization in family and youth transitions. Kayleigh received her Bachelor’s of Social Work from Adelphi University, where she focused on working with children and adolescents.
Kayleigh was led to the field of social work by her empathy and compassion for all individuals.
She brings a sense of security and trust to those she works with. Kayleigh uses a strengths-based approach as she strives to instill a sense of confidence in her clients. Kayleigh’s experience includes working with adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, trauma and challenging family dynamics.
In addition to her work with children and adolescents, Kayleigh has experience working with those of all ages struggling with addiction, as well as those who are navigating life transitions (i.e., college, marriage, divorce, retirement, etc.). Her gentle and warm approach has given clients hope and a positive outlook for the future. She utilizes Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her work with clients. *Please add that Kayleigh will be seeing clients via telehealth only.
