Alyssa Cella

Alyssa Cella is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in School Counseling and Advanced Certification in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. Alyssa also earned a Master’s Degree in Communication with a concentration in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Delaware.

Alyssa has spent her career helping children, teens, young adults, and their families improve their mental health and wellbeing while working in schools, residential youth homes, and community-based counseling.  Alyssa has experience working with individuals that struggle with social, emotional, educational and behavioral difficulties, depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, school and college related issues, communication, self-esteem, life transitions, and other mental health difficulties. Alyssa has extensive experience working with children and young adults with PTSD or a history of trauma.

Through a person-centered and strengths-based perspective, Alyssa incorporates integrative and evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, play therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

Alyssa provides an open, supportive, non-judgmental,  and safe therapeutic environment for her clients.  She is passionate about assisting clients in recognizing their strengths, building self-esteem and self-awareness, and learning skills to assist them in achieving their therapeutic goals and personal growth. Alyssa strongly believes that each individual has their own path to healing and is deserving of the support they need to be successful.
