Serena has earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Study from St. Joseph’s College and her Master’s Degree in Students with Disabilities (7-12) from Touro College. She has also earned a second Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Serena previously worked at a private school as a Special Education Teacher/Mentor. She has experience working with clients across all age groups, specializing in supporting children, adolescents, adults, and couples/families. Serena utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Play Therapy, often incorporating creative activities and reflection worksheets with younger clients. For couples, she draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman methods, and Imago Dialogue to enhance emotional connection, improve communication, and foster deeper intimacy. Serena is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals, and work together to create positive changes in their lives and relationships.
