Melissa Sieden

Melissa Sieden, LMSW is a compassionate and dedicated therapist who works with adults and older adults navigating trauma, depression, anxiety and life transitions. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore meaningful change.

Early in her clinical career, Melissa specialized in working with individuals struggling with substance use and complex trauma. This experience deepened her understanding of the ways trauma can shape coping patterns, relationships and self-perception. She brings a trauma-informed lens to all of her work and approaches each client with sensitivity, curiosity, and respect for their lived experience.

Melissa utilizes a thoughtful and integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Rogerian principles, and psychodynamic theory. She believes that healing begins within a strong therapeutic relationship and values authenticity, collaboration, and attunement in the counseling process. Before pursuing a career in social work, Melissa spent 15 years in the banking industry. This unique background allows her to understand the pressures of professional life, major transitions, and the complexity of balancing personal and career demands. Her decision to enter the field of social work was driven by a deep commitment to helping others build resilience, process past experiences, and create lives aligned with their values.

Melissa provides both in person and telehealth services offering flexible and accessible care to meet the needs of her clients.
