Joanna Sorge

Joanna Sorge is a Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP) committed to creating a positive, warm, and welcoming environment for healing. Joanna received her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University.

Joanna has experience in providing counseling to individuals who experience anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and/ or struggle with addictive behaviors. Through evidenced-based techniques such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy, she assists her clients in fostering awareness and self-acceptance. Joanna believes therapy should be a collaborative experience centered around unconditional positive regard and the belief that all of us are capable of positive change.
