Jennifer Scheu

In working together with her clients, Jennifer Scheu strives to create a non-judgmental space in which empathy, respect, and warmth are highly prioritized. In this space, Jen assists her clients in not only making the day-to-day more manageable but cultivating tools they can utilize to navigate life’s ups and downs. Through collaboration, Jennifer and her clients work together to increase self-awareness and develop skills to improve processing & regulation of emotions. Jen utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy mixed with a strengths-based, solution-focused approach. She helps her clients in identifying barriers in their life as well as the skills to overcome them.

Jennifer is a Mental Health Counselor with over four years’ experience working with those experiencing mental and emotional difficulties; ranging from depression and anxiety, to those diagnosed with persistent and severe mental illness. She received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from SUNY Cortland, her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from University at Buffalo.
