Erica Lucks

Erica Lucks, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, as well as a Reiki Level II Practitioner.  Erica’s passion lies in motivating others to reach their optimal level of functioning, with a specific focus on working with individuals to help them heal from trauma. Through a holistic approach to therapy, much support, and empowerment, Erica assists individuals, couples, and families to find acceptance and peace in the here and now.

Erica has experience in working with adolescents between the ages of 12-20 years old with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues, as well as substance/alcohol abuse.  Her current work is primarily with Veterans of all eras who are faced with an array of psychosocial issues including unstable housing, history of or current substance/alcohol abuse, marital issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and sexual trauma.  She has experience utilizing Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Motivational Interviewing, and approaches therapy from a strengths-based perspective.

Erica believes that every individual has the potential to be the best version of themselves and through the use of support, acceptance, and guidance strives to help them do so.  She has worked with children from the age of 10 years old in collaboration with their families who are facing academic, behavioral, and adjustment issues.   Her experience also spans up to individuals at the age of 90 who are faced with marital stressors, life transition issues, substance/alcohol abuse, mood and personality disorders, and trauma.

In addition, Erica is a Reiki practitioner which is a healing technique that channels energy through the use of touch that may promote emotional healing, chakra balancing, stress relief, pain management, and relaxation.
