Peter Scarpinato

Peter Scarpinato completed his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 2002 where his focus was on clinical social work with an emphasis on working with children and families. Peter has 25+ years experience working in a variety of therapeutic settings including the foster care system, private practice, community-based outpatient mental health clinics, jail mental health units, and community programs working with at-risk children and adolescents. Because of his diverse experience, Peter is equally comfortable working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Peter uses a diverse range of therapeutic modalities in his work with clients including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Supportive Counseling, Crisis Intervention, and Play Therapy. He is experienced in treating a variety of mental health issues including Depression, Anxiety, Low Self Esteem, ADHD, Behavioral Disorders, Mood Disorders, and LGBTQ issues.

Peter is a kind, caring, and empathetic therapist. He is committed to helping his clients develop insight and tools to make positive changes in their lives and become self-sufficient.
