Ashley Clay

Ashley Clay is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University where she graduated with honors. Ashley also holds an undergrad degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Towson University. Ashley has always been drawn to helping professions as she finds great joy and satisfaction in working with her clients.

Ashley has over ten years of clinical experience in a variety of settings providing individual, group and couples counseling. She has experience treating clients with anxiety, depression and trauma as well as everyday life stressors that may require an unbiased sounding board. Additionally, she is well versed in the unique treatment needs of first responders, Veterans, and perinatal and postpartum populations.

Ashley is continuously seeking to gain clinical skills and knowledge as most recently she is working toward becoming a certified Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) counselor and a Reproductive Mental Health specialist.

Ashley approaches her clients with deep respect. She recognizes the strength it takes clients to reach out for support in improving their mental health. She is warm, caring and professional. She continues to be inspired by the clients she works with at Suffolk Counseling Services.
